Green Cruiser bicycles come mostly assembled. In order to ship properly, we typically remove the handlebar, front tire, and pedals; however, assembly is very simple and all instructions are included with your bicycle.
What's Pedal Assist and How Do I Use It?
Simply turn on the battery with your key and hop on. The lithium ion battery will kick in and get you moving with either the turn of the handlebar throttle or by starting to pedal, similar to a normal bicycle. You are in complete control of your speed. To slow down or stop, simply squeeze the handlebar brakes, just like a normal bicycle. The moment you touch your brakes, the battery stops and you can coast or slow down before resuming your electronic ride.

Can I Ride In the Rain?
As with any electric source, please demonstrate caution when riding in or around water. You may ride the Green Cruiser in the rain without harm. However, we suggest that you never ride through deep puddles, submerge the bike/battery in water, or ride in rain for long periods of time. Please refer to the Owner's Manual for additional information.
How Expensive is it to Charge my Green Cruiser Bicycle?
It is very cheap to charge your bicycle! On average, it costs between $.05 - $.10 based on .8 of a kilowatt per hour, which is how your utility company measures electric usage. Naturally the electricity needed to charge your bike depends on the level of charge in your battery, but generally speaking, we do not recommend allowing your battery to run empty. Charge your bike after every use.
Do Green Cruiser Bicycles Pollute the Environment?
Green Cruiser bicycles and their batteries do not create emissions into the environment. Your lithium-ion battery will require replacement about every four years, and should be disposed of properly within your City.
How Long Does the Battery Take to Charge?
All Green Cruiser bicycles will fully charge within 6-8 hours. The bikes have a 36v-10ah lithium battery which weight 75% less (at 7.6 lbs.) than traditional batteries. All Green Cruiser bikes weigh less than 50 lbs even with the battery installed!
All Green Cruiser bicycles are packaged complete with a Lithium-Ion Battery specifically designed for your Green Cruiser bike, as well as an AC adaptor/battery charger, which can conveniently plug in anywhere there is an electrical outlet (home, office, school, etc.). Once the battery is fully charged, our battery chargers switch to a trickle charge. We don’t suggest the plug be left in the bike more than a few hours after the battery is full.
What Distance Can I Ride with a Green Cruiser Bicycle?
Distance traveled with the Green Cruiser technology depends on many factors, such as weight of rider, hills, wind, tire pressure, and your pedaling contributions. Generally speaking, you can travel approximately 25-30 miles on a single charge. Many of our customers are able to travel much farther distances with some light pedaling.
Please note that hills are generally a large drain on any electric bicycle, and it is recommended that the rider assist in pedaling to increase travel distance.
Is my Green Cruiser Easy to Service?
All Green Cruiser bicycle models share common electrical components including batteries, control systems and motor drives, making them easy to service. The “bicycle” parts are common to conventional style bikes making spare parts and servicing easy to accomplish at any local bike repair shop.
